well, here's the innocent picture of me just doing what Cleo, my supreme leader told me to do!

Really how could Pool Boy take this the wrong way?

anyway, for all those that didn't attend TAM2, this picture should convince you to start saving for TAM3. That's Pool Boy trying to fix his broken heart after the Merc kiss....

However, here I am with Mr.Randi at the press conference where we announced I will have his clone....

really, if TAM2 was this exciting, who can miss TAM3?

Wait, was I the only skepchick who did NOT kiss Mercutio?? I did dance with him cheek-to-cheek at the disco, though, as everybody had a chance to see. :p

What did I miss that Saturday? I left early. The only think I know is that Girl 6s mini-skirt deserves its own thread...

Pool Boy is just the best, kitty. You really should be proud. :)

I got very few hugs.
What's this f*&king b****hit about me being intimidating?
Hey, even cranky middle aged women need hugs from time to time.
No, I'm not as cute as Luciana or as nice as Girl 6. However, I don't bite, kick, or hit very hard, so feel free at TAM III.

Except for the grave voice, military posture, constant swearing and tattoos... nothing! :D :D

Kidding, you should have said that earlier. So, next year, you get plenty of hugs to compensate for this year. :)

and for the record, Lisa is very huggable, and a scintillating conversationalist. We had a wonderful chat about the fun times she had as a terrori$t...(word changed in case Ashcroft is listening...)

Lisa,
Didn't we hug at first sighting @ TAM2? Or just shook hands? I dunno.
I know my ribs and phalanges still hurt.
But I was raised as a Swamp Yankee and it's hard to get over your early upbringing. We don't hug anything unless we plan to have sex with it later.
That's why we hired the Irish to milk our cows.
And I shook G6's hand and she was wearing a thread.
I did a head bob (like a symbolic bow) to Lucretia Neary.
I gave Patricio a deep Spanish kiss.
He did not reciprocate.
Right now, I have to go to Dirty Sam's Rat-A-Tat to get a mogen david tatooed on my forehead so people stop mistaking me for Charlie Manson.

You need a sign. Besides, since your husband wasn't present, some of us (far too gentlemanly sorts) were just being, well, gentlemanly. Slap me next time, if I'm being a dunce.

I didn't meet nearly enough Forum people. I'm kicking myself for not actively seeking everyone out. Renata approached me and it was great to talk to her, but for some goofy reason I am terrified to approach people. I'm shy. My husband tells me there's this new thing where you go up to someone and introduce yourself and conversation follows. Has anyone else heard of this? It almost sounds too easy. Next year we need to have a Forum Meet n' Greet, either a day before or after TAM3. Apologies, Luciana and everyone. You all rock. I'm a big weenie, but I'm working on it. Now I have a year to practice that whole 'introduce yourself and talk' thingie.

This has probably been mentioned elsewhere already, but I think we should plan for all forum members(or as many as possible) to arrive a day or so ahead of time just so we can all meet and get to know one another. I want to give a big virtual hug and thanks to Shanek, Electric Monk, Chaos and Exarch for keeping company with this shy girl and for being such wonderful companions. Excellent idea. The Saturday party was great. Sadly, we didn't have an opportunity to do anything like that at TAM I. Lack of time and the fact that the lounge was barely bigger than my kitchen were big factors. Oh, and we were also pretty clueless. Face it, we pretty much bullied Randi into having TAM in the first place.
Prior to next year's TAM, how about I kick Hal into making a sticky thread where we can post about a meeting place? I see two upsides to this:
1) I get to kick Hal
2) We won't all be wandering cluelessly trying to find one another.

Dangit!! It is obvious, isn't it???? Oh fudge, now how am I to exert control over him, if he doesn't think I am indifferent to him. :D

Nyarlathotep has mentioned that several people have mentioned in different threads how sweet we are as a couple. We discussed this, and I think it is because it is obvious that we not only love each other, but respect and actually like one another.

On a serious note: a bit of both.
Remember, a lot of us have been on this forum a loooong time. Plus many of us met face-to-face at TAM I. Insta-friends. As I stated before: none of us said "goodbye", instead it was "see you next year".

And I seriously intended to be there myself but for the imperalistic airlines of the world and other trip-ups.

It just sounds, from the run of related threads, that it was more of a "love-in" than anything! People dancing and grabbing each other and running off to hotel rooms together and comparisons of kisses, etc, etc.

I picked much better the second time around. I think the first time was my trial life where I found out exactly the type of man I didn't want to live with. This time around, I held out for what I wanted. Of course, I think that it helps that he is more stubborn than I. I was quite shell-shocked by the whole relationship thingy and didn't trust men (I've never had good luck with men in my life) and although I wanted a relationship, I pushed men away - it was too scary. Nyarlathotep, fortunately for me, stuck out my stupidity and my pushing attempts. I am very, very glad he did. I like him so much better than my first husband and I can honestly say that he is the best man I have ever met.
