I support Rand Pauls stance on keeping the Guantanamo Bay detention facility open and trying the islamic jihadists behind 9/11 in military courts.

Dick Cheney sticks nose in KY Senate race to back Rand Paul’s NeoCon opponent

On Trey Grayson’s campaign site today is a quote from former Vice President Dick Cheney:

“I’m a lifelong conservative, and I can tell the real thing when I see it. I have looked at the records of both candidates in the race, and it is clear to me that Trey Grayson is right on the issues that matter – both on fiscal responsibility and on national security.”

Indeed, Cheney– the man who helped construct the lies that sold the Iraq War, who endorses perpetual conflict and endless spending in order to maintain over 700 military bases overseas, and who still delusionally calls himself a “conservative”– came out in support of Trey Grayson, one of Rand Paul’s primary opponents.

As odd as it might seem that in modern America Dick Cheney, (or anyone from the Bush administration), might still have any credibility left to anyone after the ruinous legacy that they left behind, the Grayson campaign has proudly seized the endorsement, attempting to paint Rand Paul as weak on terrorism in the same way that the Neocon establishment tried to do to his father during the 2008 presidential election.

Rand Paul does.

And he's good enough for you, isn't he?

First rule of negative advertising is that you do it late in the campaign, because the mud has a tendency to generate a backlash. The primary in this case is not until May 18th, which means that Rand Paul jumped the gun by about 50 days.

BTW, have I mentioned that the San Antonio Spurs suck eggs and that Tim Duncan is a lousy player?

If you believe that.

As Yogi Berra once said, you could look it up (http://www.randpaul2010.com/2009/11/rand-paul-try-convict-and-lock-up-terrorists-in-guantanamo/):

Leading United States Senate candidate Rand Paul today criticized the Obama administration’s decision to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center and try terrorism suspects in United States Civil Courts.

“Foreign terrorists do not deserve the protections of our Constitution,” said Dr. Paul. “These thugs should stand before military tribunals and be kept off American soil. I will always fight to keep Kentucky safe and that starts with cracking down on our enemies.”

Dr. Paul believes in strong national defense and thinks military spending should be our country’s top budget priority. He has also called for a Constitutional declaration of war with Afghanistan.

Anyone note that somebody from Wisconsin is attacking Cheney for supporting a Candidate running for office in a state Cheney is not a resident of?

You don't know anything about professional campaign strategy. You do negative ads early and often. Rand Paul knows what he is doing and you don't. Sore Loserman. You're just upset your candidate is getting his arse kicked.

What the hell are you talking about? I don't think any of us here are from Kentucky. Besides that, opposing Paul doesn't mean supporting all his opposition. That's WAY too big a group to agree with completely.

So, fallacious all around. Good job.

Rand Paul is a Truther? Hmmm:

On 9/11/2001, nineteen terrorists attacked us aboard commercial airliners. I’ll never forget coming out of an eye surgery and into a patient’s hospital room to see the attacks on television. I’ve never doubted who attacked us and have never wavered in calling for a response. In fact, I would have demanded a vote on Declaration of War with Afghanistan and voted for it. Furthermore, I think we made a mistake by waiting one and one half months to attack the terrorist bases.

Rand Paul routinely lies, according to Galileo. It's one of his admirable qualities.
