EVERYONE knows...that between New York and Los Angeles, is merely deserts, mountains, and rivers. No one live between these two areas. I don't even think the air is breathable.

Therefore, this section's name should be changed to:

The NY/LA section.

I think the OP is forgetting LA being the smog capital of the Union. (I saw it on Quincy (M.E.), so it must be true.
