How does one go about looping a video (.avi, .wma etc) over and over again? I need to do a presentation and this vid needs to start back at the beginning again when it ends.

It depends. What player are you using?
For most of them, this might work:
1. Build a time machine big enough to contain everything in the Universe, except the video and whatever is playing it.
2. Push everything back in time to a point where the video begins to play.
3. Just as the video is ending, repeat from step 1.

Most of them have a Play/Repeat selection on the Tools drop-down.

Windows Media Player 11:
Play>repeat or just use ctrl+T
mplayer2(and media player classic):
View>options, on the Playback tab, select "repeat FOREVER"...
muhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Mine is an evil laugh -snort
