Along with the usual attempts to legislate morality, the Tennessee legislature just proposed this gem...All members should be allowed to have concealed carry of firearms, without a permit, "just like the police"...of course unlike the police there would be no requirement for a backgound check, screening, training, or oversight...not to mention the overriding of laws about felons and the mentally ill carrying guns.
I guess they aren't killing off their constituents at a fast enough rate by running over them with their cars ( or with their votes).
