Didn't do a search, but I'm fairly certain sure this hasn't been posted already.

If I'm smarter than God coffee, why is it more popular than I am?

Aplanarian worm is smarter than God and more useful.

Oh. Missed a space there. For a second I thought, "Where the heck is Aplanaria?"

Also fun to look at, with those crossed-eye-looking spots (I'm pretty sure I remember from biology that they're not actually eyes, but I forget what they are. Anyhow, it's pretty funny to look into a microscope and see something apparently looking back at you. ETA: so yes, planaria are more useful, since they provide amusement.)

I'm smarter than Popeye, and Popeye has more basis in reality than God has, so I must be smarter than God.

They do have eye-spots but, of course, fairly primitive, more like away to detect the presence/absence of light...

Also, if God existed, his handiwork would range from sublimely intricate to blunderingly dumb... I think God should change sub-contractors...

Let's see... I exist, imaginary sky daddy doesn't, so... yes, I am without question smarter.

Am I smarter than God? Which one? Thor is hard as nails but a bit of a thicko....

But Complexity, you are joining intelligence to existance.
That allows the following argument:

God, by definition is the supreme being and so has supreme intelligence.
But one cannot be of supreme intelligence and not exist.
So, ....
another dull version of Anselm's Ontological Argument! :wackyarghh:

Oh, dear - I forgot to mention that I'm intelligent, too.

(I thought that had already been established.)

So, revised version: I exist and am intelligent. 'god' does not exist and, therefore, can not 'be' anything, let alone intelligent. As the only real and intelligent entity in { me, 'god' }, I am the most intelligent entity in that set.

Corollaries are unwelcome in this case.

If by "be like me" you mean "be the exact opposite of me", then yes, you are correct.

I am yes. As a parent if I did not want my kids to eat something I am smart enough to keep it out of reach.

I voted no. Since God does not exist, it is not a valid comparison. Had the question been "is God smarter than you?", the answer would also be no. I can neither be more nor less smart than some un-assessable smartness.
