I'm probably as pro-Zionist as they come, but that picture doesn't look right. Photo-shop?

Ask Hamas - it's their photo. They also opined (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/01/27/wmid27.xml&sSheet=/portal/2004/01/27/ixportal.html):She was giving them power as a fighter and a martyr which is higher than the quality of maternity.I don't see how this can be seen as positive publicity or helping their cause in any way.

Oh, I can see how. I've been studying our Australian delegation closely, and I think I have the hang of it now. Try this on for size:

What this photo clearly shows is the close-knit family structure to be found among certain of the Palestianians. See how proud mom is of her child as he deftly hefts his first RPG? Of course, in the evil empire that is America, families aren't so close, and share no interests like politics with each other. It's further proof that Islam is the religion of family and peace and love and warm fuzziness, compared to the cold, detatched dysfunctional family that is America. And Israel.

Whew. What I'd like to know is what they do to get that awful taste out of one's mouth after a whopper like that.

Why?

Either people will stop swallowing wholesale the worldview and mindset pampered Western academic pseudo-intellectuals project onto Hamas, in which case they'll see this as perfectly natural, consistent and appropriate.

Or else they won't, in which case they'll maybe experience a couple of seconds of cognitive dissonance, but they'll make themselves feel better by shouting "Zionist!" at people, putting on a Noam Chomsky tape, and taking a few bong hits.

I have no joke.

I just think this should be on the first page for more than a dozen hours.

On the plus side, she is an example of 'Herd Thinning' at its finest. This is natures way of getting rid of the weak(minded).

I have a feeling that if enough of this happens, Islam will simply implode as a result of its insane beliefs and actions (like this one). It's take a lot fo casualities on their side and on bystanders (Jews, Christians, non-believers) but eventually, they will defeat themselves.

I hate hearing about the 4 people that died, but I take a quiet sort of pleasure knowing that she is dead. Also, her kid isn't likely to live that long either. I give him until 20, tops. He'll either blow himself up, or die of starvation because his mother wasn't there to support him. either way, he won't be breeding.

Sorry for catching you with my satirically wide brush, Zep. I was thinking more of Mr. M, Fool and AUP... all of whom have demonstrated incedible agility at the mental gymnastics required to defend Muslim extremists against oppressors/occupiers/evil zionist entities/etc.

The quote is made up, of course, as a hypothetical. Just trying to find a little comedy within the tragedy that is their hateful little lives. I apologize for lumping you in with them. My error.

For the record, I don't necessarily agree with all either side's views, and especially not the strident, mindless militarism on any side.

Perhaps here http://www.globalideasbank.org/showidea.php?idea=4399 will give you an idea of where some Australian thinking is: Avigail Abarbanel, who is President of the Australian National Network of Counsellors and a practising psychotherapist-counsellor, says, "I am a Jewish woman, a former Israeli and an Australian citizen. I have decided to organise Headscarf Day because, with my background, I simply cannot sit by and watch while Muslim people and women in particular are becoming the target of racism.
Or this from here http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/12/14/1071336811379.html?from=storyrhs
During last month's Muslim festival of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, Christian and Jewish youths participated in celebrations, including a prayer service, Mr Mehboob said. Similar events are being planned for Hanukkah this week, and for next year's Orthodox new year festivities. Far from being offended by Christmas displays, Mr Mehboob said, many Muslims enjoyed the decorations and carolling, and it was common to see women in hijabs photographing the nativity scene at the Bankstown shopping centre.

Let Darwinism take its course. Suicide bombers work as well as the Jap Kamakazis or the German V2 rockets.

Jocko, you are being a naughty boy again, havn't we spoken about this before?
Oh well, here we go again, you must enjoy looking stupid.....Can you show one example of where I have defended the actions of muslim extremists? Are we going to go through another long and painful avoidance dance before you admit you can't? Getting the truth out of you is like pulling teeth.

So how about it Jocko old son? Is it going to be put up? Or shut up?

You have the five o'clock shadow.

She is ethnically differently-follicled.

The images make me feel sick...what chance does that child have? This is simple and blatant child exploitation for propaganda purposes... Its a damn tragedy.
