I wonder if people in Alabama are so stupid that they think accepting evolution as a valid scientific theory is a bad thing.

So listen up!!!
A little research shows that the Ag commission has an annual operating budget of 30 million, not 5 billion like Dale claims. With 676 employees, most of that would be eaten up by overhead.

BTW, in the Dale Peterson video, I noticed that his horses have chewwed up the top rail of the fence. I'm not a farmer of a hourse guy, but even I know that is something you want to discourage.

Actually, he said it was "responsible for 5 billion dollars", not that its budget was 5 billion dollars. I suspect this is a reference to the size of Alabama's agricultural industry, or something to that effect. Misleading? Perhaps (not exactly novel for a political add). But I'd bet he's got a source for that $5 billion claim, and knows that it's not the operating budget.

Why is he yelling at me? I don't even live in Alabama.
Although, can any of you honestly tell me that Dale Peterson ad wasn't freakin cool?

The GDP for farm income was 5.6 billion in 2008, although the net income was only 1.4 billion

Horses tend to do that, as well as chew up and kill many trees. I'm told it can be trained out, but not completely.
