I discovered Skeptoid a couple days ago, so I've been going back through the archives and I just listened to the episode about the Georgia Guidestones. I found the general concept to be quite fascinating, but I can't say I agreed with much of what was said on those particular guidestones (especially not the eugenics stuff).

So it got me thinking: what would go on a set of "Skeptical Guidestones"? How would you simplify concepts like critical thinking and skepticism enough to state them in a handful of "ten commandments" style statements?

I kind of like the concept of setting into stone some guidelines for future generations, but at the same time, you would want to put down rules that didn't imply dogmatic adherence to said rules. Especially if you were making a set of rules for future critical thinkers.

Your thoughts?
