I was just browsing through some headlines on Google News last night, and noticed that headline writers were having a ball with the Jackson story. Here is a sample:

Has anyone else noticed that Janet Jackson has gotten far more media and public commentary for several seconds of bare boobie than did the teams that played for a whole season?

I believe that was the whole point. I don't ever pay any attention to professional football. I didn't watch the Super Bowl. I'd only vaguely heard of Janet Jackson before, but now I have seen one of her t!ts, though not the nipple (on the 'net).

It's all about publicity, or rather I should say paid notoriety.

And I used to play football when I was young. For fun you see. Fun. What a strange concept. :D
