Anthropologists say they have discovered the 3.6 million-year-old partial skeleton of a creature that came from the same species as Lucy, but was 400,000 years older and at least as good at walking upright.

I saw this. Very cool, isn't it? Upright walking goes back some, it seems.

Excellent video. If this is upheld by other paleontologists, it certainly seems to cast a new light on the order of developments (or at least their extent at any given time) in our ancestors. I wonder if sexual dimorphism was greater in A. afarensis, or if this fellow was a giant, or if Lucy was tiny, or if, perhaps, the species shrank over the 400,000 years between the two.

5' is hardly giant. thats less than the average height in the ANE at the time of Jesus. So theres no biblical comparison there thankyou very much
Wonder how the fundies and YEC's will spin this?
