I am just learning that the word "skeptoid" is an epithet used by some believers, much as some skeptics call believers "creduloids."
Prior to learning this, I was only familiar with the word as being the name of your podcast.
A believer blog recently referred to me as an "uber skeptoid," which I believe means that I outrank you.
I'm just sayin'.
Hope to see you at TAM!

Yeah, Brian Dunning walked me (or rather, everyone who reads the article:D) through this on his site (here (http://skeptoid.com/about.php)). He tried to discuss paranormal stuff a forum and got insults like "debunkatron" and "skeptoid" thrown back at him by people who didn't like their beliefs questioned. Before that, I didn't give the name any thought and just thought Skeptoid was something Dunning had come up with himself.
Pity we're not in the 80's, "Sceptron" sounds better in my ears.

Skeptininja.
I am sure the peer-reviewed literature will support this.

Now that we are discussing Skeptininja, Skeptipirates and Uber-Skeptoid ... should we consider all this to be meta-skeptiod analysis :)

Cabbage patch. :)Yes, but tbagehere were also a satire of them called Garbage Pail Kids, or something similar. Cabbage Patch + Garbage Pail = Garbage Patch. Or so I say.
