I figure that this should get some love here.

I note the same lack of structural expertise and technical analysis we have come to expect from Anders, alas. I especially like the bit where Bazant is "nonsense" and he claims to have had his "very simple" response peer-reviewed by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

His accent is just as creepy as I had imagined. It's like a cross between a generic European accent and Count Dracula.

Hearing that made me feel sad.

He isn't just a troll, like I thought. He's seriously ill.

He, as a swede, pronounces his own name wrong, "Bjååårkman". It sounds like the swedish chef, "bork, bork".

He insists it is an "article" that is peer-reviewed even when I quote Ross Corotis saying it is no such thing.

Frankly, even truthers should have a problem with that. Apparently they don't.

We have well known truthers in Sweden? Oh, ffs... :covereyes

It felt incredibly bizarre to listen to him in audio talking about what he normally writes... as always it seems to be any time i go from listening to these insane theories in text and audio forme

What a malignantly stupid person.

"It is false...(pant)...so it isn't true".

Bright guy.

Btw, first interview ever, I've heard, where the reporter cuts the interview off in mid-sentence.

Yeah, what was up with all that panting? Maybe he was out of breath from stacking all those pizza boxes.

What makes this so intellectually dishonest is that he knows calling it an "article" that the journal "reviewed" is nothing but a flat out lie, and he is still doing it. As long as the response is grammatically correct, you can get any "response" to any peer reviewed paper published, and by virtue of it being published by the journal it doesn't mean it passed any standard of academic rigor.

That was my feeling as well. His panting was a little creepy, almost frantic? I don't ever recall him going so far as to say Bazant was a shill. Had he done that I would have wrote him off as a nutter sooner. That's his way of denying reality and allowing him to continue this absurdity.

Given how small the truther movement is, it's not difficult to become well known among them.

Not sure about the value of words, since english isn't my first language, but he is also calling Bazant a "criminal" in that interview, "he's part of the conspiracy, he's a Lysenko-type scientist".

It's also ironic when he says "why should he put his nose into this?"

The same could be said about him, being a ship-builder without work, sporting a free tripod homepage from France.

lol, too true. Why should one of the most respected and recognized building structural engineers in the world butt his nose in? Obviously this subject is best suited for a ship builder already disgruntled with the US government.

Except I SINCERELY doubt that he's ever designed or built a ship in his life.

As I understand it, based upon what he's said in the past, he was/is involved with converting old oil tankers into glorified over sized holding barges used for offshore drilling.

I don't need to provide experimental confirmation to support Bazant. I don't even know if Bazant is 100% correct in analyzing how the towers fell. But it was obvious, planes hit buildings, fires break out, buildings collapse. HELLO!

If you think that the World Trade Center Towers were destroyed with anything other than planes crashing into these towers and the resultant fires, you need to provide some sort of real proof. Show the world the photographs of the planted bombs, or of the detonators, or even a single inch of detonation cord that anyone has ever found. Give us the names of the people who were involved and the connections between these people and the US government and any plot you think they were involved in to destroy these buildings. If you do not have at least this, then you have absolutely nothing. After almost 9 years it appears that you have absolutely nothing, just one great big fat nothing. As you said yourself, you have just plain crack pottery.

I had thought that the Examiner was a straight news organization, albeit a right-wing one. After scanning that guy's columns, I have reconsidered.

Aw ya see, he had good intentions, he didn't want to scare the kids!

That heavy breathing got on my nerves something awful. It was like he was doing the interview whilst on a treadmill.

ETA-
I just got to the part where he starts throwing around accusations about Banzant; pretty vicious lol. I take it this is after he got his ass handed to him when he submitted his paper?

I see that scaling, among other issues, AB is still clueless on! Bravo!

Björkman explains why he believes the Piledriver idea is ridiculous.“If you have a structure—anything, building blocks, Lego, or a book case, and you take the top part and drop it on the rest—because it’s the same structure—the smaller top part can never supply sufficient energy to destroy the bigger bottom—as long as it’s the same structure.

PATHETIC!
