People of taste and distinction may remember last year's Star Party to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
We're doing it again this year, and it's going to be bigger and better.
Confirmed guests/hosts:
Pamela Gay
Fraser Cain
George Hrab
This will be Thursday, Sept 2 at the Emory Math & Science Center, starting around 7:30. There will be food, music, talks, and then stargazing. Emory has said they will let us use their big telescope.
Proceeds go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Tickets on sale now! All the details are here:

September 2nd is a new moon, so we'll be minimizing light pollution as best we can for being in a city like Atlanta.

Well, last year's guest list had Pamela Gay and Phil Plait. This year's has Pamela again, but also has Fraser Cain and George Hrab. If you're saying you can combine Geo and Fraser to make one Phil, I certainly don't feel qualified to argue...

I loved when Fraser Cain had the radio call-in psychology show in Seattle!

Or, am I confabulating that from his other D*C appearances?
I do see that Fraser Cain is new.

Nope. Geo may have shown up (but I don't think so) but he didn't get on stage.

I just need to invent a time stretching device so I can make it to that party on Thursday eve! :)

I barely took any photos from the party, though I do have a few snippets of video. Anyone have any good photos to share?
