In David Ickes new book "Human Race Get off Your Knees" He talks of his experiences with the psychic. He doesn't mention her name though. At the end of the book is a one page ad for "readings by Post" from a Psychic named Carol Clarke. I thought this was the same psychic but after research, I realized it wasn't.

(Not the fist time David Icke uses his "fame" to promote unrelated products/services, like the time he advertised his sons music album.)

Here are a few excerpts from the emails..

"Thank you for your enquiry; the postal reading is recorded on a CD and you need to give me the address you want it sent to, or if you prefer I could send the file over the internet. The recordings are usually about
40-55 mb. in size I charge £60 sterling UK address. Overseas is £70 sterling both inclusive of post and packaging.
I ask you to choose twelve numbers between 1-78 in any sequence and give your date and place of birth. These are all the details I need. However, if you should wish to ask any questions then please do. You will receive your reading within 28 days of payment being received."

"Thank you for getting back to me, My preferred method of payment is by bank transfer, my account details are as follows"

She also accepts Western Union (easy to scam people with/ no refund policy)

"I'm not set up to take credit cards or paypal, bank transfer is the best method for me, The charge is £65 for a file transfer, because the bank charges me for payments in from abroad.

Once I have your numbers and place and date of birth, and of course payment has been made, your reading will be with you within 28 days.

The reading works with energy from the sequence of numbers, numbers are quite magical to me and through them I connect with the energy of the person who chose them. I also look at your moon sign, because it shows what you came into this world looking for. I did this for David, for three years before I knew his identity and it is the way I still do readings for him to date. We live in different parts of the country."

So regardless of all this, plus all the James Randi video on psychics, i proceeded to my bank with the money. I was told that the fee for a wire transfer would be 20-45 CAD$ and I could do a money order for about $10. (So about 120 CAD total)

I accepted that, and didn't care about the the fee, and they proceeded. They ran into a problem, which required more info to send he wire transfer. The nice lady then asked me

"So who is this going to?"

I stood there, thinking in my own mind what I moron I am, I don't believe in this crap and I'm ashamed to even admit to believing it. I proceeded to walk away, assuring the bank lady everything was fine.

I can't say the psychic is a scam, but if you do readings for 20 years, and charge about 100CAD, and are very accurate you should develop a pretty big customer base.. in order to make more then a few thousand a month.

Paypal is much safer, I could get my money back, with any of her payment options, a scam is guaranteed. I walked away, and realized I could save 120-150 bucks by just facing reality and growing the **** up.

It shows how when people have fame like Icke, they will use it to further their own agenda and promote to help their friends, because he (Icke) has access to brainless sheep.

I would like to thank James Randi as well as JREF, without this information, I would be a clueless ****, believing in CTs, and psychics with no evidence. Giving my money away, and not facing my insecurity and other problems.

Nothing in any way psychic has been shown to exist after many years of serious attempts to authenticate numerous claims. That makes it pretty easy to determine that psychic claims are almost certainly either delusional or fraudulent. Many people approach woo as a form of entertainment, though, so at that level it can be somewhat harmless. Those who take it very seriously are to some degree handicapped when dealing with reality, but even very sloppy thinkers can function well enough.

On the more extreme end, Icke appears to be mentally ill. Looking at his website is kind of fascinating: quite a few people seem willing to trot along behind him as he dances through his paranoid fantasies. Remarkable phenomenon, really.

Nice to see that you came to your senses.

eerok, why on earth are you posting with white text? I have to highlight everything you post to read it.

I don't know what happened. All of a sudden I couldn't see my text either. I looked at the default text color in my user cp and it was "alice blue" ... I changed it to black. Can you see it now?
