View Full Version : Who are the current 'leaders' of the Truther cult?

Given the number of crackpot conspiracy theories within the Truther cult, many of which are at odds with one another- I'm left to wonder-who are the current 'leaders' within their cult- Alex Jones seems to be a vocal Truther, but he ridicules the WTC no-planers. Truthers who insist 'WTC no planers' are ridiculous often assert the planes were in fact flown by remote control. I've heard some Truthers slam Jones. I'm not sure what to make of Michael Moore-Does he think Bush gave the order? What about the freaks behind 'Loose Change'? Are they in charge with telling Truthers what to think? There doesn't seem to be any semblance or organization within the Truther cult. Truthers are sheep, just like like religious crackpots who crave to be told what to think- who is their leader(s)?
Have there ever been any high profile Truthers who regained their sanity, left the Truther cult and realized the Truther beliefs are just insane?

To answer the OP question, I don't think they are enough of a movement, at present, to really have leaders. I think there are members with more of a visible presence, such as Alex Jones, DRG, and Dick Gage.

I think that like many religions, they have become sectarian, so their are several leaders each having their own sect.
Alex Jones probably has the largest sect.

Yes, but AJ has the largest sect because his religion is very broad. It encompasses MUCH MORE then 9/11. He is a NWO/Obama is satan/get yer guns preacher. His audience is broad, in keeping with his message. Dick Gage, on the other hand, confines his preaching to 9/11, hence a much more narrow set of followers.

That would be a sect of right wing Truthers?
What about the left wing kind that blames Bush and Cheney for 9/11- who would be their leader? I'm wondering if radio host Mike Malloy would be a candidate..

All of this depends on what you mean by 'leader' or even 'Truther'. I have made the point that the Truth Movement is now alligned with right-wing patriot American politics, particularly with the brand that talks about a Christian America and the Constitution. For most of these people, whether Dick Cheny blew up the WTC buildings is really irrelevant. Just as Barabar Streisand and Michael Moore lost interest in 911 conspiracies once the Democrates got in the White House, when a white male Republican is back in there, thermite and a controlled demolition will disappear from the right as a political issue.
If you mean the circuit speakers of 911 conspiraccy, then their leaders would be Jones and Gage and that lot. If you mean the people who make up 911 Truth ideology, that would include the folks from Pilots for 911 Truth, Citizen's Investigation Team, and those other groups. I have never met these people, nor am I a medical doctor or licensed psychologist, but it appears this group has a large number of very disturbed people. In fact, I would speculate that the ideology of 911 Truth is being manufactured for the most part by mentally ill adults.
Most Truthers are not mentally ill. As I said, most Truthers only marginally care about 911and really just want a white man back in the White House. On the Net, there is a wide range of people struggling for a leadership role in this group. Primarily, this is lead by groups like We Are Change and the Constitution Party.

Well, if one of them won the lottery they might, otherwise, they would have to abandon their only source of income they peddle to the ignorant and the stupid.

You know, a person without a concience could make a lot of money if they pretended to be a Truther, and marketed Truther merchandice..

You should see the fire and vitriol that gets exchanged between no-planers and "plane-huggers".

I think this is an interesting point about Truthers, and a point where you can see what they really are made of. You never hear a no-planer going on about the political implications of what they're saying. Take a look at our buddy Jammonius. Day-after-day he tells us the US government has these orbiting laser beams that they use to destroy gigantic buildings. This has huge political implications, but does Jammi talk about it? No way. Does Judy Wood talk about it? do any of the nuttier than nutty no-planers? No way. And where's Ace Baker when Dicki Gage starts talking about thermite?
And why not? 'Cause they're nuts. They're looney bins. They're not interested in who built this thing or how they got it into orbit or who could have discovered the technology that does this amazing thing.
So Jammi and his friends don't go to those things. They just make up stories. And that's what 911 Truth is really about. It's about a bunch of crazy guys making up stuff that's then picked up by mostly right-wing Christian nut bars who pass it off on a bunch of high schools kids and some white trash college drop-outs.

Probably David Ray Griffin suits them the best.

I wonder if radio personalities tend be the 'leaders' of the Truther cult- Alex Jones and Mike Malloy are both people with radio show and are neck deep in Truther madness. I think there are a few other Truthers with radio shows.
Mike malloy calls his listeners 'Truth Seekers'. Yeah, right!

They also never stop to think how this magic technology would pretty much make the alleged evil NWO plans obsolete. Why isn't it used more often in useful scenarios?

I think Richard Gage has probably got the biggest income having most control of ae911truth. He has been paid to talk in JamaicA, NZ, Australia, China, South Africa with the last year or so.
We like to target big donors such as Ed Asner, Charlie Sheen to really spread truth A few of them can make a big difference. While the bi donnors help its the 10$ a month from the little guys that add up. So we have over 10,000 signatures, if we can only get them to spend 100$ a year each we could really spread the word.
Luke Rudowski still generates enough of a regular income to keep him focused on spreading truth.
And the multiple books from David Griffin also gives him a powerbase to work from.
We should be clear that these people do not work for truth because it makes them money; that is simply a benefit of spreading the gospel, truth.

Does Mike Malloy still have much clout in the Truther cult? His followers tend to be far left 'blame Bush' Truthers. Malloy has the amazing habit of getting fired- I think once his employers realize he's nuts, they give him the heave-ho.

********.
Nobody is my "leader." I came to the TRUTH by talking to firemen WHO WERE THERE, by interviewing engineers, physicists, and architects and about 80 first responders. I was led by no one but my own desire to know the truth.
And it wasn't easy. It was a very painful path. I was raised by a WWII soldier, who had been at Normandy and was with Patton during the liberation of concentration camps. I couldn't be more of a patriot.
This crime, this treasonous act of betrayal is so horrific, and so disturbing, I struggled with it for three years. But after a time, you just have to give in to the mountains, and mountains of evidence. Then, there's no going back.
God Bless America. God SAVE America.

Mountains of evidence that there wasn't a cover-up or an Inside Job brought on by the U.S. Government?

Sorry, 9/11 was not an inside job, If you can't see that, you are delusional.
9 years on and the only 'evidence' Truthers have come up with is paranoia and absurd theories..
Please describe the 'mountains of evidence' you mention. From what i've seen, you Truthers pull your theories out your collective rears. Are you a 'no-planer' as well?
Are you a far left Truther who blames Bush & Cheney, or a far right Truther who blames the Jews?
