Silverstein and WTC insurance money

So, once again, my silly sister is going a wee-bit Truther.

She thinks Silverstein's $7 billion insurance policy on the WTC, just a few months before 9-11, is evidence of an "inside job", and that Silverstein got off like a bandit with all the insurance money and Liberty Bonds.

from what I have read, Silverstein's insurers will give him $4.6 billion for the WTC.

subtract $102 million a year in rent for 9 years, and that means he has gotten about $3.6 billion in free money to build the new buildings.

what are the total costs of the new buildings, MINUS all the insurance money.......MINUS Silverstein's lost revenue from the WTC over the last 9 years?

Yup and he still has to rebuild the missing buildings. 1 building down, 6 to go. All losing 100 million in rent each year that no building exists (on top of property tax and other insurance premiums).

my sister says its good info, but the sources are not "legit".

here is my response:

"eh...the sources for the info in the article are the New York Times, NY1, Time Magazine, Forbes, and other reliable papers. How are these sources not credible? Are they less credible than the snake-oil salemen demagogues, who peddle 9-11 conspiracy theories? These people prey off the emotionally trouble, intellectually insecure, and political sheep. They spread lies, fear, and paranoia to anyone who will buy into their crap, so they can sell thousands of DVDs. They disregard hundreds of engineers, architects, and other scientists who KNOW what they are talking about, because the science does not fit their pre-conceived notions of what took place that day.

I have been researching and learning about this stuff since 2005.
