View Full Version : Workplace persecution of truthers?

This is just so hilarious that I'm wondering if this fella is a real truther or a debunker having a laugh.
From the Toronto Truther mailing list:
You probably don't know me since I have not been very active in this group yet.
But I have been very active on certain other forums and groups and now it seems as if I have ended up on some sort of government blacklist. I am being stalked and harassed and terrorized on an ongoing basis.
For the past few years I was harassed and abused at many different jobs and I am currently unemployed. I am now reluctant to even get a job again for fear of being workplace-mobbed again.
Has this happened to anyone else in this group? If so, how did you deal with it?
Can anyone recommend me a safe place to work with very nice and accepting people? People who are Truther-friendly?
If anyone can help me find a safe place to work it would be very much appreciated, and I would even be willing to compensate you generously for the effort.
Thanks in advance!
When someone asked what kind of oppression he's faced....
There was one workplace where a few of us started talking about 9/11 and I voiced my opinion that it was an inside job.
But other than that I usually just keep my mouth shut at work and do my job and I try not to discuss any radical issues like that.
The way the harassment works is like this. There will be at least one individual, sometimes multiple or many people, who seem to have been "briefed" about me by someone. Told explicit details about my past, my criminal record, my beliefs, my posts on the internet, all my worst secrets and skeletons in the closet, everything.
Those individuals will then circle around me like vultures and taunt and
provoke me all day long, every day. They take the information they were
given about me and use it to shout intensely aggravating "coincidences"
at me all day long.
The idea I believe is to keep baiting and baiting and provoking you until you lose it and assault someone, and then they can put you in jail.
Fortunately for me I have a distaste for violence and tremendous restraint and so that did not happen - yet! But, the temptation is always there of course.
So this is why I need to find a 'safe' place to work that does not have any of these government minions, or whatever the heck they are, in it.
Have any of our resident Truthers faced this sort of horrible attack from "government minions?" :D

How much you want to bet it's the truther himself who is "briefing" his co-workers? We all know the workplace colleague who is constantly talking about his/her religious/political/personal beliefs.
I know more about some of my co-workers than I do about some family members. This is why I have a policy of not discussing politics at work. For all my co-workers know, I'm a republican. ;)

This almost sounds like they are saying unrelated things, but he is then interpreting the comments are somehow connected to his past life.
IOW, he is seeing patterns that do not exist -- just like all the data "anomolies" or "coincidences" a truther might find regarding 911.

There are a lot of things I don't discuss with my professional colleagues, 9/11 Truth being one of them.
It's part of being discrete, respectful and professional. That's all.
There have been people who don't perceive these normal boundaries or who don't respect them once they recognize them. Usually those people don't last very long.
ETA I imagine that calling your coworkers 'sheep' or accusing them of being government agents probably is not a wise move. But are 9/11 Truthers wise?

I've said this before and I'll say it again, if I were the owner of an engineering firm, and I learned that a degreed engineer under my employ had signed the AE911T petition or had done something similar, I would fire his ass in a heartbeat.
You're allowed to hate Bush, Obama or any other political figure. You're allowed to one or more religions (so long as you keep your mouth shut in front of clients or do not create a hostile work environment for co-workers). But an engineer is not allowed to believe that fire can't melt steel.
Were I the owner of an engineering or design firm, I could not allow employees to kill my clients with their stupid.

I would imagine that he lives in hicksville with only 3 - 4 employers and he took his CT head with him to work instead of leaving it in the basement wrapped in foil. Word got round that he was a nutjob who believes in super secret nano silent bending explosive materials known only to ninja maintenance workers. Calling him a f*"!$() would be par for the course. Hell, I get ribbed for wearing pink ties. lol.

In the era of the anti-Vietnam war movement, people with petitions were all over the place. The big print had some easy-to-agree-to declaration but further down was support for some other much more controversial cause.

If real, that letter is a like a time-bomb, it smacks of paranoid schizophrenia. I sure hope he never comes to work in my company.
There is a resident truther at my workplace that I've argued with, but we've agreed it's best if we don't discuss it. I have a friend who almost got in a fist-fight with a conspiracy theorist/holocaust denier. It's understandable. Some of their theories are incredibly offensive to those of us with common sense.

Your presentations are filled with lies, I would not doubt 911 truth engineers would be fired as an engineer for claiming the idiotic lies you claims and other false claptrap associated with 911 for misleading others. Better keep your nonsense in 911 truth a secret, it will ruin your credibility at a minimum, and get you on the short list for next to fire. How do you hide your presentation of lies on 911 from your employer?
Your presentations found with google, "Derek Johnson" 911 morons site:youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=142Ati4GEJQ), would be a negative in engineering, a plus for selling used cars and lies.
All things equal in the engineering business, the paranoid conspiracy theorist would be last hired. Are truthers smart enough to keep their idiotic delusions of CD and thermite a secret?

There is a guy at my work who wore a "End the Fed" t-shirt, with Prisonplanet logos. We have not talked about 9-11...mostly cause I'm sure he realizes that since he is surrounded by hundreds of architects and engineers, if he even slightly brings up thermite or DEW, he's be laughed out of existence.
should I guy get fired for being a Truther? naaa...
but if he is an engineer, and believes in highly unsound ideas related to engineering, it does put his qualifications into great doubt.

So we should give our hypothetical engineer a chance to explain himself and withdraw his name from Dick Gages pseudo-petition. And if he insists that fire isn't a significant threat to steel framed structures, then we fire his ass.

Yeah, I got a guy in my office that's a LIHOPer. He also believes our current recession was caused by Reagan's inability to plan for our country's future (yes, Ronald Reagan...you know, the one that left office in 1988). He hates both Bush's with a passion, and thinks Clinton and Obama are two of the best President's we've ever seen. If fact, he thinks Clinton would have stopped 9/11 and would've had OBL on a rope already...
He also believes that the answer to unemployment is to have the goverment build a national high speed rail system because the aircraft industry is in decline and too expensive.
He believes Obama is planning to grant a stimulus in 3Q 2011 that will dwarf GWB's. Families will be getting $6k to $8k...and won't effect tax brackets and won't have to be claimed as income.
There are many, many other insane and inane theories that he has...I couldn't begin to list them all...and he is VERY vocal about ALL his beliefs...
But he still has a job here everyday...I think the guy in the OP is hiding some info.

Did you tell him Obama is not a US citizen?
He thinks that is part of a White Republican conspiracy to regain control of the WH and continue the war in Iraq.
Oh, speaking of war, he also believes America is poised to invade N Korea if the R's take the WH again. They (the Republicans) are going to let Obama recall all the troops from the Middle East and then "forcibly" take back the Presidency in 2012 so they can move troops into the Korean pennisula.
To listen to this guy is awesome some days. If you ask, even subtly, if he has any evidence, he just berates you with "don't you people ever read the papers?"...
