In this thread (http://host.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=35373&perpage=40&pagenumber=1) you start by saying you are discussing (end of days) "with the permission of the mentors."

Is this one of them?

Follow the link. In that thread, you said "with the permission of the mentors, I'd like to discuss..."

Who are the mentors?

He probably meant 'moderators'.

Yes I did. I was a member of another forum for about 18 months, and they called their moderators mentors. Just a hang up of my time there. Is it worth a new thread?

... and who's the old guy in the picture?

And did you ask the permission of the mentors?

I don't think you did.

Would you really like to debate this issue? Or do you have something better to do with your time?

Can threads be deleted? I propose that this thread be trashed. With the permission of the moderators of course.:dr:

Plonkers? Just joking there.:p

I really don't care. I suppose moderators. But as I said, my mind was accustomed to calling them mentors from a previous experience of another form - for 18 months.

Are you just picking for an argument?

It's last rites time, I'm afraid. Any final confessions?

A mentor is like "A wise and trusted counselor or teacher". I think it's more than a little flattering to call the JREF moderators wise, trusted counselors.

But never mind :)

WOW!!! that brings back memories. Shazam!
Anybody remeber that really short lived saturday moring show called Spacenuts (I think)? It stared Bob Denver and Alan Hale (of Gilligan and Skipper fame) and they were shipwrecked on some planet. They were using the shuttle or lander pod from"Lost in Space". wow, mental deterius. Time for some mental floss.
