According to their reelection campaign ads, Democratic Reps. Kathy Dahlkemper, Frank Kratovil, Dina Titus, Mary Jo Kilroy, and Glenn Nye all voted against the Wall Street bailout. Which is fascinating, since, as FactCheck.org pointed out a few weeks ago, not one of them was in office when the bailout was passed.
So now we have democrats running against TARP.
We have them running against the health care bill (in fact, out of 279 democrats who voted for ObamaCare, not one is touting their vote).
We have them running against Stimulus. In fact, only a few will even use the word … and those are mostly the ones who actually did vote against it.
And some are running ads promoting an extension of Bush's tax cuts.
Some of them are even claiming to be independents now or (get this!) "independent conservatives" (like Bobby Bright in Alabama).
In fact, some are even running against Obama and Pelosi! Making a big deal of how they will "resist" their agenda.
Democrats seem to be running from everything they claimed to support not more than a year or two ago. Yes, Obama surely has brought change.

Kinda like how Republicans disavowed the Bush agenda in '06 and '08, right?
This isn't news.

And look how well that worked. I'll bet it works just as well for the Democrats.

:DDoesn't this really mean that these Democrats are assuming their political base is really stupid and will believe a complete pack of lies?
Because they all are going to continue voting with Pelosi. That's what they do.

First people insult my good friends in Kenya by claiming Obama to be one of them.
Now you insult the devil?:)

No, not their political base. ;)

A testy U.S. Sen. John F. Kerry yesterday blamed clueless voters with short attention spans for the uphill battle beleaguered Democrats are facing against Republicans across the nation.

I'm not sure that means what you think it does.
I'm pretty sure he was talking about the Baggers. Yes, in fact, he was referring to the TeaBaggers.
TeaBaggers pl. n.
1. clueless voters with short attention spans

I agree. It's never a good strategy to shift with the winds. Yup, republicans will likely win big. All I hope is that we don't see actual tea party candidates win. That would be a loss for the country.

LOL! I think my post very clearly showed that I knew what he meant.
Like I said, "No, not their political base."

No. I was simply asking a question, because you usually back up the arguments from the TeaBaggers. I must have assumed you were a TeaBagger. My bad.
Sorry.

Conservatives win election: a sign from the American people of the direction that the country should be moving in, along with core values and the true way of life.
Liberals win election: OMG! The evil socialist libs have stolen the election and the country! We must do everything possible to ensure this doesn't happen again!
I'm sure you guys will have the one party conservative rule you want any year now..

By the way, my congressman is Kurt Schrader. He was just on the radio touting the health care law this week, so the premise of this whole thread is false.

:DHow come you post things like this, but not how McCain ran away from his Amnesty for Immigrants thing of a few years ago? Or the many, many Republicans who were anti-gay marriage but who turned out to be gay?
Do you ever have anything intelligent to say? I mean, what if JREF removed the smilies (or at least the one)? What would you do then?
Probably :cry1, huh.

Question is how big. I suspect they will win the house, but not by a huge margin, and lose the Senate.

The American people will never allow a government as Conservative as the hard line GOP want, or as Liberal as the hard line Liberals want.
