So, I am out taking my noon-time stroll and I walk past a Catholic bookstore. One of the books in the window is a children’s book entitled something like:
“What Christ Saw From the Cross”.
I remembered a recent thread on a topic very much like this, and one of our JRF wags speculated that it was something like: “Hey Peter, I can see your house!”
I chortled all the way back to the office.
Now back to your regular programming.

That harkens back to a very, very long and tedious joke that starts with Jesus saying from the cross "Peter, come here, I have something to tell you". So Peter tries to go to Jesus, and the guards stop him, inflicting some injury. So Jesus says again "Peter, come here, I have something to tell you". 10 excruiting joke telling minutes later, Peter finally drags himself to the cross, sans arms, legs, etc, all inflicted over the previous trials tediously enumerated during the joke telling.
Peter (with dying gasps): I'm <gasp> here <choke> my lord. What ... did you have to tell me?
Jesus: Peter, I can see your house from here!

There was also a old Sam Kinesen (?) routine, where he was speculating about Jesus' last words...his take was (yelling, of course): "Nooooo! Not the other wrist!...."

First a mob captures and torchures Jesus, then they put spikes through his hands and feet, then Jesus survives FOR ANOTHER 72 EXCRUCIATING LONG HOURS, then Jesus remembers that delicious pie he never ate...
Talk about a bad day...
