So it's been far to long, time for another DC/Baltimore area forumite get together? Last time was Union Station, and LibraryLadies "table dance".

When, where...all open to at this point.....

Didn't see this here! I'm game. Sundays are my best bet. Union Station would be okay, Columbia--Union Jacks is good.

And no, there will be no encore.

Keep us informed. Agree that Sundays are generally good.

Sundays are generally bad for Hedgewitch and me ... keep us posted, though.

I'm in! Someone pick a Sunday....

I obviously don't check in here often enough.

How about next Sunday? I know it's the Super Bowl, and some of you may care about that, but perhaps mid-day?

LibraryLady

Good for me!

February 6th? sound good!

ejk
2nd February 2011, 09:47 AM
So, are we going to do this? I've only seen 3 of us say the 6th is good. And it sounds like something between DC and Balto. would be a reasonable compromise given where we're all coming from, right?

There's a place called Union Jack's in Columbia we've had a couple of things at. It's pretty nice, aside from all the faux British stuff.

Works for me. Who else is in?

And time -- lunch? Mid-afternoon?

LibraryLady
4th February 2011, 04:51 PM
It's Superbowl Sunday, so I say lunch. 1pm?

ejk
5th February 2011, 05:54 AM
I could do 1, but is it just the two of us? Or 3, I'm not sure if Bluess confirmed. Not that lunch with LibraryLady wouldn't be fun, but perhaps we should pick a different time that more mid-Atlanteans can make it.

Anyone who hasn't said you'll be there, let us know if you will!

I'll be busy doing my best domestic handyman impression. But, somebody, kindly hoist a pint for me.

I'm in!

Yay!

I say three people is worth it. This could be the first of several.

ejk
5th February 2011, 08:25 AM
Fair enough. We shall have such a fabulous time that everyone else is envious and makes sure to clear their schedule for the next one.

LibraryLady
5th February 2011, 09:57 AM
Exactly. I'll even do a table dance*

*For the first time, of course, since Locknar has made the whole thing up.

I distinctly remember you doing a table dance. Distinctly.

I mean considering the amount we were drinking.

LibraryLady
5th February 2011, 06:36 PM
I'm sorry. Did you just say I'm stinky?

bluess
5th February 2011, 08:12 PM
no, i said your dis-stinky, the opposite of stinky.

And you call yourself a liberalarianetin

LibraryLady
6th February 2011, 06:24 AM
Excuse me. Did you just call me a libertarian?

The number you have reached, 1-800-bluess, is now being answered by a small kitten with large paws.

I PM'd a bunch of DC-area-seeming folks last night, maybe some more will show up...

And if they don't, nertz to them.

OK, I have finally recovered from the extraordinarily improper lunch with ejk and LibraryLady. For some reason, ejk refused to let LibraryLady table dance, and instead leapt into the fray. I suppose it was the Welsh Rarebit.

LibraryLady
7th February 2011, 03:16 AM
Actually, it was a Welsh LLama.

Bluess had no such excuse for demonstrating her martial arts move on the innocent waitress.

ejk
7th February 2011, 05:54 AM
You failed to mention LibraryLady's serenade of the entire room with a composed-on-the-spot skeptical ditty. Brought them to their feet.

Seriously, I think the wait staff was a bit scared of us.

Locknar

Sorry to say I missed it, but do appreciate your PMing me there Bluess....oh well, I'll make the next one :) Right now, weekends are filled with in-door soccer....

bluess

Look, the waitress survived, which is more than we can say for the llama.

And we won't discuss the death of the mostly innocent trifle.

ejk
7th February 2011, 05:30 PM
Innocent? That trifle was asking for it.

LibraryLady
7th February 2011, 06:23 PM
It trifled with us.

Sadly, I only read the PM the day after ... buh.
