I guess when you get this deep a cultural divide, the ends of the spectrum kind of wrap around and meet each other.

The Episcopalian church allows priests (bishops, etc) to marry. The fact that a bishop wants to get married is not that big of a deal.

The gay thing is the only dividing factor in the Episcopalian church; one wing of the church is ok with homosexuality, Gene Robinson, and even gay marriage, while the more conservatives are die-hard opponents.
