Can someone give me a brief and concise explanation of what one studies in political sociology?
Am I right in thinking it is about the interaction of state and society?

Political sociology is the study of the relations between state and society.[1] The discipline draws on comparative history to analyze socio-political trends. A typical research question in this area might be: "Why do so few American citizens choose to vote?"[2] The field developed from the work of Max Weber, Barrington Moore, Jr., and Moisey Ostrogorsky.[3]
