I was having a conversation on Christianity.com, and amazingly enough, one poster stated scientists who matched the bible prophecies have found 120 % are right.
Just think about that for one minute. Let's say there are 100 prophecies in the bible. That would mean that 120 prophecies out of 100 are right.
How can there be more than 100% of prophecies in the bible??
I'd like to see 1% of the prophecies be shown as accurate. Can anyone tell me of any prophecies that are accurate??

The Bible's 120% right in prophecy because for every 6 prophecies in the Bible, 5 of them have come true, and 1 will come true but hasn't yet.
Yeah, that's the ticket.

I thought it was 1 out out 5 prophecies have come true, meaning that the Bible is actually 500% correct.
There you go, you see! Statistics can be your godsend! :)

One out of every five Bible prophecies came true several centuries ago and also came true a few years ago. Some of the best prohecies could come true as many as 4 different times (in 4 different places- with 4 different meanings).
The effect is more pronounced with Nostadamian prophecies, but can be applied to some Biblical prophecies.

I've fount the book Bible Prophecy: Failure or Fulfillment (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0965504700/qid=1080225103/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/104-5934407-4176702?v=glance&s=books) to be pretty darn good. Helps a lot in getting the facts behind 'prophecies' that have suposedly come true.
Of course it mostly deals with actual prophecies and at least somewhat rational interpertations of them. There is no end to the number of irrational 'predictions' that can come out. Just this week argued with a guy who believed Revelation specifically predicted the Twin Towers destruction.
