Aww...Robert Schuller only got 1.5 stars. My aunt and uncle used to go his drive up church. When I was a kid, I loved the idea of a drive up church.

Hi billiefan2000,

Are you the same poster who wrote this review about Zola Levitt?

A Preacher that many TV Preachers and Church Pastors and even Rabbis should be taught by cause Zola says it like it is and is only one of a few TV Preachers who supports Israel and the Jewish People.

There is also a "rate religions" page. Hard to believe Buddhism and Agnosticism came in ahead of Christianity.:)

Not that it was bad or anything, it just seems a little, um, duplicitous to advertise for atheist comments if you are that same person.

billiefan2000 also gave 5 stars to Greg Laurie.

So what's the deal, billiefan?

He is a okay preacher in my book. Same with Charles Stanley and Charles Blake and Adrian Rogers.

Kop,yes I am that same person and I am telling you guys about the poll cause Christians should know how you feel about some of these people.

It's true that I can't find much fault with Billy Graham. He suffers less from "foot in mouth disease" than most others, to his credit. Aside from the one recorded "Nixon" incident, where he thought he was having a private conversation, for which he's appoligized... but I think he still believes what he said in his heart.
http://www.fpp.co.uk/online/02/02/Graham_Nixon.html.

The primary "faults" I keep seeing reported by Christians is that he's tolerant of Catholicism. On this review site, the other half seem to be cranks who dinged him for being a theist. That seems to me like reviewing an orange poorly for being fruit. I think it's safe to say that this reflects far more negatively on the people who express such opinions than on the person being reviewed.

All in all, he doesn't seem too bad when compared to his peers. Being better than most televangelists doesn't seem like that high a bar, though. Like winning at the special olympics: you're still retarded.

I have not the faintest idea who these people are.

They are American 'televangelists'. Imagine a combination of TV game show host and preacher.

Maybe I'm too cynical sometimes, suspecting a motive of making atheists look like barbarian hordes.

Kopji, the reason I let you guys know is I want Diverse Viewpoints on these guys.

By the way,for some of the folks on the list,it isnt just Atheists who dislike them and their antics.

Look at the list.

Peter Popoff and Robert Tilton and Benny Hinn and Jan Crouch aka PINK HAIR LADY are considered to be crooks by many Christians and Non-Christians.

I have no sinister motives,I felt like letting you guys know and voice your opinions on these guys.

Thanks for the reply.

It was the use of quotes around the word 'preacher' that caused my confusion.

The boy "hurried" to the store. implies a literary sarcasm, like the boy got to the store but took a long time.

Since quotes were used around the word "preacher", it implied in a similar manner that these were not "real" preachers.

Your two posts left two different messages: one clearly they were really great preachers and one implying they were not.

Compounding my confusion was that you seemed to direct the supportive message to the survey forum, and the unsupportive message to the forum with atheists.

Perhaps a message on the survey forum something like: "hey, I hope you do not mind but I asked several atheists to post their opinions about preachers here, they will be along shortly". Would help clear things up in the future.

I'm surprised Schuller and Hinn are tied.

Schuller seems fairly reasonable (as far as these things go) and Hinn seems like a flaming *******

But, maybe as some of the posters there write, I need to check my discernment :D

Benny Hinn is no different than Sylvia Browne. He uses spirituality as his schtick and bilks people out of their cashola, shamelessly, I might add. It would not surprise me in the least to discover that this guy doesn't believe in God at all. I've had to watch this @$$ clown more times than I can count when visiting family. He's so fake as to be over the top. I narrowly avoided having to see this muck raker live and in person last year. Fortunately someone else stepped forward to claim the 25 dollar ticket that had been bought for me and I was off the hook, no feelings hurt. I hope someday someone grabs him by the ears and pulls him on like a sock. Benny Hinn has earned my full distain.

EDIT: typo
