I just put together a blog post on this, including some important history on my interactions years ago with Nelson and the wacky claims of the Montana Vortex folks - link. (http://skepticalteacher.wordpress.com/2011/04/29/vortex-master-nick-nelson-accepts-skeptical-iig-challenge/)

Watching.
I don't get it. He thinks he can change the appearance of the size of an object in a series of photographs without moving anything?

Well, that was a bust. Maybe we'll see Nick Nelson again, though. Last year at TAM, they had a demonstration with Anita Ikonen after she had already failed the IIG test. Maybe they'll do Nick Nelson at TAM this year.

He did bring the funny with the magnets and the pendulums, though.
Also...he was having trouble finding the vortex. So all IIG members except three (Jim Underdown and the 2 who helped to finalize the protocol) went downstairs. This included all women present (and there were about 8 or 10). We heard later Nick felt as soon as we al left, it felt more clear upstairs and that one of us must have been using some power to block the vortex or some such.
Estrogen power FTW!

[...] one of us must have been using some power [...]
I was wondering which of the stock excuses he would use.

So did Nick Nelson acknowledge that he failed the test?

So did Nick Nelson acknowledge that he failed the test?
I will honestly have to look at the video to confirm what exactly he said. I assume he will have an excuse regardless. Jim Underdown made a closing statement about the test, that Nick verbally agreed was accurate as to the demo was not having been a success and he has to wait a year to try again.
We are organizing pics right now, but the video will take longer.

Great blog post. Nice to know my preliminary analysis of Nick Nelson's claims at the Montana Vortex back in 2006 were confirmed :)
