I tried to respond..

I registered and logged in and it says you don’t have the permission to respond…

I guess to have the permission I would have to have my IQ reduced to under 80 and my gullibility increased to 100 % like WuWu and that idiot Nolinear

Do I detect a certain level of fanaticism with WWu777 ?

I got on.
I posted.
I told the truth.

Is that what you wanted, Winston? I can tell them some more truths if you like...

If they are not interested in presenting their arguments without requiring that I register, then I am not interested in their arguments.

Anything worth saying is worth saying publicly.

OK, dare taken. I have registered there. Perhaps you don't run away from discussions there, WooWu?

Saw you guys over there and posted, too. How about Gellar (sic) being tested by Goverment Laboratories?

Yeps, guys...that's what I've been saying: We need to argue with these where they are. Be it when they give public lectures, or under private occasions, or on Internet message boards.

An uncountered lie will become truth. Winston should not be the only one feeling the heat of a rational argument.

Sure, they can kick us out, if they don't like critical thinking. That is their problem. If people like Pam Blizzard, Steve Grenard or Christian Borup (the best known Danish astrologer, who runs the Danish astrology board) wants to shut us out, so be it. That only tells people that no criticism is allowed, and they can draw their own conclusions.

Let's not just stick to the JREF board, but also spread out.

They've even got people who think the moon landing was a hoax. I haven't run into them for a while:D .

Tried to register, but everytime I enter my password it say I need to log in.

Probably a glitch more than deliberate effort by the webmaster, but the fact that he hides his board from sight so much to begin with speaks volumes.

sorta tedious board, no?

Sort of tedious board, yes.

FOr those of us unable to read it, is there anything worth a hoot? Or is it just a bunch of woowoo's jumping on Randi, then making bitter comments when their lies get shown?

Who is Clyde Lewis? Why should one care?

Have those people ever seen the video of the astronaut dropping the hammer and feather (which susequently land at the same time due to vacuum)?

Oh, a large studio with all the air sucked out it... was the studio approximately the size of the moon?

One point I rarely see made is that if you look at the dust coming off the rover's wheels, it travels in a perfect arc - more evidence that there was a vacuum (and low gravity).

Our physics teacher showed us a similar thing - a coin and a coin-sized piece of tissue paper in a glass tube. Before evacuating it, the paper fluttered while the coin fell. After evacuation the paper fell at the same rate as the coin - it's quite strange to see.

Ovbiously, they used a lead feather.

I'm not sure why JREF puts up with it but posters who exist primarily to steal members for other discussion forums. These are a kind of troll usually quickly banned. Yeah I know, Wu's fun but is against etiquette to steal from your host.

We calls this 'horse thieving' in these here parts. Rustling off members to other tiny forums that nobody reads. So who is Clyde Lewis? Sounds like a webmaster that's adverse to plain honest hard work to me.

Pheh, if this is a typical woowoo forum then any skeptical members will be banned in short order, and a host of new rules invented on the spot to keep those nasty skeptics out.

If we lose 'beleivers', trust me, they'll be back. A couple of these have come on this baord singing the praises of a board they found where everyone agrees with them and how we are all poopy-heads. They come crawling back in short order, no one missed them.

Clyde Lewis is a conspiracy theorist, of the worst kind. Logic? Evidence? Reason? Who needs 'em?

He invited me on his radio show years ago, and I refused, knowing that he would try to sandbag me. He thinks the Moon landings were faked (he says many times on his board that he hasn't made up his mind, then turns right around and says they were faked). Ever since I turned him down he uses every excuse to whine about it. It's funny, in a way. He's really ticked that I refused his show, but went on Coast-to-Coast. I went on C2C because I knew they would be fair to me.

A search on my bulletin board (http://www.badastronomy.com/phpBB/search.php) for his name will turn up lots of fun discussions. Searching for my name on his board will likewise yield fun -- but far less accurate-- articles.

What a surprise that he's Winston's new master.

Oooo thanks, I'm a fan of yours...

I sometimes feel like I'm missing out, not knowing more about homeopathy, ufo's, and McDonalds on Mars... and then I go learn more... and its like what they used to say about eating Chinese take-out: I'm hungry again an hour later :D

And FYI, Winston seems to have run away from discussions about psi on THAT board too! He's nothing if not consistent...

That is, nothing.

FYI, the poster "SubPar" on that forum looks to be Michael Goodspeed, whom Winston references in his posts here. And this is what MG calls Winston there:...was sent to me by a very good long-term pal of mine, a little Asian intellect/dweeb named Winston. For the record, Winston recently came back from a year-long visit to Russia, where he was meeting nearly two dozen "mail order brides" whose contact info he purchased over the internet. So now we know why Winston is selling Russian teen porn - he's out of pocket! Heh! With friends like these... :D
