In a state not known for its oil industry, the new well has created a stir. The world's high oil prices, which translate to steep gasoline prices at the pump, give producers reason to be optimistic. They are drilling more wells, and with the latest Tennessee oil discovery, speculative fever is building in Pickett, an area that has been a hot spot for drilling in recent years.

Do you really think that will have anything more than a marginal affect?

Does this mean that Tennesseans will soon be moving to Beverly Hills and living in mansions with cement ponds?

As a tennessean, I have to say SHAZAM. I hope now to move out bev-er-ley and get into zany adventures with my greedy banker. Just wait until I get mad because the store won't take my confederate money and my daughter uses a bra as a double-barreled slingshot.
