I'm spending a few weeks teaching English in some thai primary schools....

The teachers just want the kids practising basic conversations (my name is etc). I've done this before a few years back, but that was in the ye olde days before everything you needed was online....

So, are there any good resources or suggestions of games/activities for this sort of lesson? I've got a few games but the more the better :)

Cheers

Not sure how old the kids are, but I have a friend who's a full-time English teacher in Taiwan and he uses several of these.
(Where are you in Thailand? Just curious.)

ETA: Hahaha! Just checked some of the flashcards. I'd avoid the ones for "clothes" - they have about 50% wintery garb, stuff that no Thai kid is going to recognize.

Might I suggest Eminem.

Thanks - I used some the activities from there today and they went well :)

I'm currently in the south of Thailand - near khao lak if you know the area...nice but super hot at the moment :D

Well, then the mittens and anoraks and scarves would've definitely been out of place!!

Yeah, I know the area. One of the place we are looking into property just over in Surat Thani (no place in particular, we just like the area) less than 100 miles from where you are. Khao Lak is beautiful, though. As with all of Southern Thailand, you're just a hop skip and a jump away from gorgeous coast and islands.

You're spoilt for choice in Thailand - koh Chang and Krabbi would both be pretty good places to live if you like the quiet life, Chang mai if you like the great outdoors, pattaya if you like (seedy!) nightlife and lots to do, and Bangkok if you like, well, traffic....
