From the article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3619175.stm):
A lie detector test carried out on employees at Colombia's Prosecutor General's office has produced an embarrassing 20% failure rate.

The FBI-administered test was designed to root out corruption, including involvement in drugs trafficking or guerrilla and paramilitary groups.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't lie detectors unreliable? I remember reading some info on them here on JREF but the article doesn't mention anything about the test's abilities.

Also note that ever CIA and FBI spy that was ever caught passed all their periodic lie detector tests.
