This happened two days ago. Proof that humanity can be really good.

Nice, civic heroism, rare and welcomed.

I think he may have been the driver of the car.

Don't worry, your cynicism will be restored when he or his survivors sues the guy in the green shirt for moving him and killing/permanently injuring him.

Thankfully this doesn't seem to be about to happen:

"Wright was airlifted to Intermountain Medical Center, and while he is dealing with broken bones, he is expected to make a full recovery. "I'm just very thankful for everyone that helped me out," Wright told The Associated Press by telephone from his hospital bed. "They saved my life."

Badass! Heros..everyone of them.

There's also something called the "Good Samaritan" law that prevents law suits in cases like this.

I thought that was a Seinfeld invention as a plot twist for a bad finale.

IANAL, but I think that may vary by state.

It looked like they dragged him out and were scattering to get back to business. I am guessing the officer was clearing the area but it looked almost comical for a second.

Yeah it was like all the construction guys realised they should be on their break. And Adman - I am with you so often we see ourselves as bad, it's nice to see glimpses of the good.

What was that experiment presented in Psychology 101 that showed people's response toward helping others got diluted the greater number of people were present? I wonder if there is an explanation why the response was different in this case.

Amazing. Even a hardened cynic would have to nod his head in admiration.

Probably not Wildcat though. :D:p

I think once one person moves forward to help, others tend snap out of it and follow suit. That's sort of what it looked like in the video. At first you only see the two, people, then more come over. It was nothing compared to a burning car but I was in the right lane approaching an intersection when everyone in front of me started honking and pulling over to the left lane. I didn't know what the problem was until I got right behind the stalled car. From what I could see through her back window, it looked like she couldn't even get her hazard lights on, so I pulled into the parkinglot, and tried to push the car for her. I was struggling for maybe a few seconds before two more people got out and helped push it to a side road.

I never knew a car filter could be so powerful to suck up all the smoke like that!
