I thought that the pics here (http://abclocal.go.com/wls/news/042104_ns_spiral_path.html#) were interesting. They are of one of last Tuesday's tornados (there were at least 3, probably more) that went through Illinois. The fields had been recently plowed, so the path of the tornado is easily seen. There's also video.
Also note the idiotic questions some of the news readers ask the weather man. :rolleyes:
Edited to say I think that's one of the F1 tornados, not the path of the F3 that flattened the town of Utica and killed 8 people who had taken refuge in a bar (the 4-story stone building the bar was in was lifted off the ground and then dropped, pancaking it). They had left their trailer homes, which were untouched.
Also edited to say what a horrible typo in the title of this thread! It almost looks like "tomato"! :p
