It is sad that he died, but the event may not have anything to do with the paranormal.

There are a number of physiological indications that herald a heart attack that someone might suffer without realizing it.

It is possible his subconscious realized something was wrong with his heart event though he didn't know it consciously, and tried to warn him through his dream.
