Record breaking temps in the 90's! OMG!

You poor bastards.

In the Midwest our whole summer is 90's-100's with 100% humidity.

So cry me a friggin river.

Um, who exactly was complaining?

And with all the methods that Californians have in their arsenal to piss off the rest of the nation, why is complaining about the weather so particularly annoying that it inspires you to post your frustration?

It was just horrid yesterday the weather at noon was 78, and by 4:00 PM it hat soared to 92. Then the sea breeze kicked in and it was a pleasant 72 when I went to bed. The horrors, of it all.

It's already up to 62 this morning and will hit a high of 75. Nice to have things back to normal.

Whoever complained to you is welcome to move somewhere cooler.

Anyway, we got weather to rival the midwest.

Just last year in the central valley we had a tornado rip someone's air conditioner right off their roof! I saw photos of the devastation, which included an outdoor trampoline up in a tree.

Pah. over 100 isn't uncommon here in Nevada. last summer It got to about 115 where I live at one point. Sure it's a dry heat, but so is an open flame.

Cry me a river for both of you.

I just like to add that the weather outside of my office is perfect. The ocean from which I am a mere 3 miles away is produces a cool wind that combined with the wonderful sunny day creates almost perfect temperature. So I just like to tell all those who are not where I am right now :p

All this talk about the weather, but who is doing anything about it?

Charlie (I am, by cruising around in my big SUV) Monoxide

Amateur! You should have another SUV that is just idling with full AC on while you cruise around in the big SUV.

3 miles from the ocean, you lucky such and such, I am less the 1/2 mile away. Every day have to watch all the gals in bikini's walking by and resist the urge to go out on the beach and hit the surf.

Hot weather = String bikini

Wont 4:30 ever get here?

It's record heat for this time of year, doofus! It's quite comfortable. The only uncomfortable thing this time of year (at least in Northern Calif.) is the pollen. Big huge green clouds of plant sperm blowin' outside my window right now!

I'd cry a river if only I could get my eyes to stop watering and my nose to quit running!

Hot weather = String bikini I'm in the yacht harbor all day, every day, and guess what: Where do you think those girls in string bikinis are going? ;)

I always wondered about that, every time I try to follow them I here things like:
"Do you have the pepper spray Sally?"

:(

Thus explaining why so many mid-Westerners have baked brains.

No one here is complaining about it. Just another media hoax. It has gotten up to 115° in the Summer (considerably before global warming was an issue) where I live.

I have to travel to the midwest quite a bit, I know very well what you are saying about the humidity. It makes me want to take a shower just thinking about it. I feel violated when I have to go to the midwest in summer.

One of the nice things about living in LA (BTW, I live and work in the Valley, where it gets both hotter and colder than the parts of the city south of the Santa Monicas) after twenty years of living in Philly:

During the winter, I get to say to my native SoCal friends "you call this cold?".

In the summer, I switch over to saying "you call this hot?". :D

I live in the South-East of the UK.

In the Winter we are surprised when the temperature drops and sometimes it snows. Our roads become ice rinks of death, our trains stop as the tracks freeze and the airport closes.

In the Spring once again we are surprised by all the showers, thunder storms cause flash floods. Our roads become rivers, our trains stop as the tracks are overwhelmed with water and the airport closes.

In the Summer we are shocked when the temperature soars, even breaking the 30 degree mark once or twice. Our roads melt, our trains stop as the tracks warp in the heat and the airport is forced to close.

In the Autumn, the temperature falls and amazing the trees start to lose their leaves and the winds build up. Roads are closed by falling trees, our trains stop because of leaves on the tracks and the airport is forced to close.

This sounds like Nashville. Are you sure you're not in Nashville?

On a more serious note. With the weather we've had, CDF is starting fire season three weeks early. This place is going to be a gas can by July. Make sure you clear your defensable space. Hopefully you will not be seeing us on the news.

It's cooler than usual for this time of the year in H-Town.
