Speaking of McCoy and tricorders, there's an X-Prize (http://www.qualcommtricorderxprize.org/) for that. (Well, not exactly, but still named for it).

I'm sure McCoy's syndrome is nothing that can't be fixed by resequencing DNA in vivo.
