Alien day?

Is that anymore crazy than giving everyone the day off to celebrate the birth in human form of the son of a thing that will torture you for eternity if you question it's undying love for you*? Oh yeah, and you can't see it, or talk to it, or test for it's existence, which you shouldn't do anyway since it is jealous and loving and vengeful and fair and will punish your offspring for 7 generations for something you do wrong, which is hard to figure out since pretty much all the rules seem to contradict each other in that 'perfect' book that it put it's message in?

or what about that other day, when we celebrate the death of this son, who was sacrificed for us by this loving, caring being who demands blood, someone's blood, ANYONE's blood, as long as someone pays for our sins. How do we celebrate that one? By hiding little chocolate eggs around the backyard, and tell our children a bunny-rabbit left them there.

I think Alien day makes about as much sense.

Paid time off for Extra-terrestrial Culture Day sounds good to me. Of course the day off from work would have to be the Friday or Monday nearest to the 2nd Thursday of Feb.
