I'm not sure I believe the story when it starts off with misinformation. Pete Townsend is still alive, it's Keith Moon and John Entwistle who are dead.

I think there are some rather dubious assumptions in the article.

There's a lot of yabber about the evils of the queen's riches as "the poor get poorer" these past few days.

You could cut her off and seize all her £7 billion in assets and not make much of a dent in one year's borrowing.

Meanwhile you'd wreck an awesome tourist attraction.


I sympathise with ending the whole "I'm just a subject" matter, on paper it only be though. But it's just show and has been for decades.
