Any recomendations on a good web hosting company?
I don't need any hardcore storefront or development stuff, just a place to park my domain. I see a lot of really cheap offers but I'm reluctant to give my credit card # to any of them.

Anyone suggest some free webhosting ? What about web design tools (free), nothing fancy just basic stuff (unless someone wants to help with my simple homeopath site) :)

I can't help you with a host, but some other thread here said Frontpage is a great web design tool, I think.

This provider is qutie excellent.
I have used them many times in the past, and they are FREE with NO ADS. :D
http://www.hostultra.com
Unlimited Bandwidth
Unlimited Webspace
Domain Hosting
PHP, FTP
Price: FREE!
They don't spam, and they are really honest people. That, and their paid service is cheap too. Best host I have used in a very long time.

Thanks all.
I went with registerpol and they seem pretty good. They respond pretty quickly to support requests too.
Now I just need to get past my aych-tee-em-ell disability.

Yes, I usually get feedback within minutes when I have a problem.
I set up my site (http://www.googolplex.net) very easily:
If I can help send me a PM.

The site is in French, you may try Google translator (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.googolplex.net&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools) but the result is pretty bad.
Edited to add:
"assistance to the duties" is the software translation of "homework help"

I didn't have a good expoerience with host ultra (but that was last year).
I have found the MidPhase (http://www.midphase.com) is just about the best there is. Truly exceptional.

If you took the "special" plan, they just went from 100 to 500 MB recently. If you registered when it was 100 MB, you have a month to get the 500 MB free of charge if you ask. For myself, I registered in january and I don't have this option and I'm stuck with 100 MB (which is okay for the time being).

I find them pretty good - been with them nearly a year now.

HostUltra looks dodgy.
Nobody's that good for free.
Maybe it's just the cynic in me.
