I can't count the number of "come on" letters I received from this woman. I just sent in for a free reading (all in fun) that was advertised in one of the tabloids but I had no idea what I was getting into. She always says things like "Listen to me" to capture your attention in the hopes that you'll hang onto her every last word. This woman has every gimmick in the book to snare people. I have to admit that I read every last letter. I can see how desperate people can get taken in. I was one of those desperate people. At the time I was over my head in credit card debt and I was looking for a quick fix, something to hang on to or maybe it was just something to focus on instead of doing what was necessary to solve my problems. Her letters sound so full of hope with a promise of a better life. I read these letters just to see how people like her operate and how they prey on innocent, unfulfilled people. However, she didn't get one penny from me. After I requested that she take my name off her mailing list, I started getting mail from Neo-Tech. She passed my address on to them.

I notices she's listed several time on the Rip-Off Report under "Psychics."

I'm in over my head now due to an emergency in my family. I don't want to sound flippant, but when looking for a remedy, how is it someone could turn to a psychic? My first thought was to consult a debt relief agency, not a psychic.
Was it really looking for a fix, or just to feel better about the situation? And is this something on the psychology of people in general that we transfer to psychics, homepathic cures, magnets, etc?

I guess I was just doing what Scarlett O'Hara would do: "I'm not going to worry about that now. I'll worry about that tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is another day." Turning to a psychic was just taking my mind off the problem. It's not something that I do on a regular basis. It was free so I told myself, "Why not give it a try?"

Maria Duval seems to like talismans and other doo-dads. She's got every scheme and gimmick in the world. I've got to give her credit for originality if nothing else. I liked the tone of her letters. She tried to word them so that you would think that she was speaking directly to you (very personal). Actually, in reality she probably had someone writing them for her. She must have them all saved on the computer and the only thing that is changed is the name throughout the letter. I got a kick out of reading them and once in awhile I drag out her letters and read them again just to cheer myself up and to have a good laugh. My hat's off to her for that. In fact, I even sent her a letter and thanked her for all her many letters. I said that they gave me hope and that I enjoyed reading them. I put it inside a beautiful card but I think she probably thought I was just being cynical and I never heard from her after that. It was about that time that I began receiving mail from Neo-Tech. I'd never heard of Neo-Tech until then. I've had a sheltered life.

Somewhat off topic sidetrack, but I'll make it short.
Cut the credit cards in half. Go to the bank and arrange a loan to pay off the card debt. Drop your annual interest payment from 26% to 6%.
Now- anyone here have an uncle named Harry? Recently passed on? He left 50 pence down the back of the sofa. That will be one pound, thank you.

That is dead on amazing! How did you know that?
Now can you tell me what the hell uncle Harry was doing with 50 pence in Texas? That's the real mystery.

I am sure he can tell you that, he seems to be psychic. But I bet it will cost you another pound... :D
