There was a coup in the Central african Republic.

Following the military victory of rebel forces in the Central African Republic, parliament has been dissolved and the constitution suspended.

The new military leader, General Francois Bozize, has announced that democratic elections will be held sometime in the future.
"Sometime in the future". I'll bet.

I'm guessing the Central African Republic is some where in the middle of Africa? :D

with the rest of the world distracted in other places, a few rats may start to come out of the woodwork. If this was 20 years ago, he would have been anti-communist as well.

Since I work in communications I have a pretty good grasp of geography. I have a T1 circuit I control which goes from Beltsville Maryland to Bangui, CAR....it went down @ 19:09-GMT on the 15th and hasn't come back up since. The guy who runs the earth station for Infonet in Bangui hasn't made contact with anyone since the 15th either.

I hope he's ok.
