Surprisingly the poll also shows quite good ratings for George Bush with 53% of voters saying they have confidence in him to make the right decisions on Iraq, while 43% have no confidence in him.

A majority of Brits think Bush will do the right thing? Fox News wouldn't even try to pull that one.

Slightly selective quoting though, as you didn't mention that a majority of Brits still oppose the war and the one major party opposed to the war has their highest opinion poll rating for 10 years.

Even Winston Churchill said, "You can trust the Americans to do the right thing ... after they've exhausted all the alternatives." Or words to that effect.
