I think this sort of action detracts from the protest movement.

I am not in favor of the war and I do not condone the actions of those peace protesters that painted "no war" on the Opera House. But as least they made a laughing stock of Austalia's slack security in the face of the cretin "John Howard" wasting taxper"s money sending Aus troops to Iraq. Intead of peace protesters up on the Opera House it could just as easily of been JI or al-Qaeda terrorists, and they do vandalism in a big way. Wouldn't our money be more wizely spent on Australia's security at home and forget about slurping up the Bush?
