Come on, you guys, Franko's gone! Have some actual discussions before he decides to come back!

How about a discussion about free will for starters :D

He's not gone, just charging his batteries I'd guess.

Yes, Franko has been absent the last few days, but then, so has wraith (with a brief, few posts exception). Seems like an odd coincidence, wouldn't you say?

And even Ian has been coherent and calm through a whole entire thread! What's going on here???

I'm getting a little freaked out.

Hey, maybe the Rapture occured (in a logical and non-dogmatic way, of course) and Franko and wraith were called home to the loving arms of the Logical Goddess....

Franko's gone, so is his alter-ego Wraith, Muscleman hasn't shown for some time, Jedi Knight is missing, no new woo woos have shown up... holy f*cking sh*t of sh*t we can have actual discussions!

So, is free will an illusion? Does our universe follow some sort of order in which all things have a role? Are patterns no more than a product of the human mind? Why are there limitations in the world we perceive? What is the soul? What is time? What is civilization? What is nothingness? What is good? What is evil? Do we even exist???

Would having the answer to any of these questions change the way you live your life? I don't think so.
Can you imagine any way to obtain an answer to any of these questions? I can't.
Do you wonder why the missing posters seem to prefer ranting on these subjects? I'm gonna have a beer now.

LOL! Myself, I came by on a rare visit to see if any relevance had slipped into any threads. Otherwise this place kinda creeps me out.

Thumbs up fishbob. My views on philososphy precisely, including the beer. My favorite answer to most philosophical questions is 'who cares'?
