BAGHDAD, Iraq - Gunmen abducted six Egyptians and four Iraqis working for Iraq’s mobile phone company, seizing two in a bold raid on the firm’s Baghdad office and the others outside the capital, officials said Friday, the latest in a string of kidnappings that have underscored the country’s fragile security.

So what's to be gained by abducting Iraqis? To get Iraqis to leave the country? To prevent rebuilding of the infrastructure? What?

Iraqis are frequently abducted in routine kidnappings. This could be a purely money making operation rather than a political one.

Come on you guys!
Bush and Co. have spent the last couple of days saying that things are so peachy in Iraq that they will be able to hold those elections at the end of January 2005.

That's funny. How much worse does it have to get to be described as "robust insecurity?"

And a place like Russia can't keep their schools safe.

Puhlezzse, look at my original response. When I quote it, the software only includes your post, not anything else.
Does your post (consisting entirely of "What?") indicate that you have no idea of what I was saying in my response?

The time to worry is when the situation is described as fragile insecurity.
This will probably be about January 13th.

Your post consisted entirely of "[derail]". I assume you had some point.
