This show was just on here. www.ten.com.au/sensingmurder
All about some psychics solving a 14 year old unsolved murder. I wrote them an email, I may send a more civil letter to the actual network, but this is direct to the company that produced the show.
The MacDiarmid family deserves better than to have their hopes falsely lifted by charlatans like you. Did you even bother to research the role psychics have played throughout history in solving murders? If you had looked deeper than just repeating what you have heard, you would have found that no psychic has ever come up with any bit of information that has directly led to an arrest. This is not overstatement, this is the truth. A truth you would have found for yourselves had you bothered to research this subject in any meaningful way.
Did the fact both psychics have different opinions on where the body was not bother you? Or that Debbie Malone changed her story from a random killing to she was stalked first?
Your attempts at limiting the "psychic's" access to information was laughable. You gave Scott Russell Hill a birth date, and ALL NIGHT to look up all the unsolved murders in Melbourne. By the morning he could have known all the details about the case based solely on the information you gave him. Did you even limit his phone and Internet use? If you can't figure out how with a just a birthdate of a victim and the fact it's an unsolved murder you can find all the information you need, reply to this email and I will explain to you how simple it is.
Was Debbie Malone ever left alone after she was shown a photo of poor Sarah MacDiarmid? You never mentioned limiting her access after she had seen the photo either.
The unfortunate fact is that neither "psychic" presented one single piece of verifiable information that could not have been obtained through mundane means, and you certainly gave them ample opportunity to find these facts, even giving Scott Russell Hill 10 days to do research. TEN DAYS!!! It would be a sad person indeed who given that time could not come up with more information on a highly publicised murder that even had a book written, at least in part, about it.
I have a suggestion you won't follow, the next time you make one of these shows, hire a magician and monitor the psychics constantly until after they are done getting "energies" and have reported back to you. This will truly safeguard the psychics from being able to pull any tricks, but of course you won't. Proving these psychics are fakes won't net you nearly as much money, will it?
If you ever find what is left of your integrity and manage to feel guilty about what you have done, that would truly deserve an hour and half of the publics time. I doubt you will though, you will convince yourselves that perhaps there is something to these psychics despite their vague place names, their spouting of very common names and nicknames, the easily accessable information they spew as though it is just coming to them, and the impossible-to-search (contradictory) locations where they "know" Sarah's remains are lying.
Whether you are deliberately misleading people, or are just deluded yourselves I don't care, you have a responsibility to make sure the truth you present is verifiable as such. You have failed. I'm physically sick at the thought of you making money through lies or downright incompetence.
You can contact me at this email address. I wish you would, I would love to hear your reasoning for raping the MacDiarmid families grief for money. I would give you my phone number but I wouldn't be able to guarantee my civility over the phone. And I don't really want to talk to people like you anyway, as naive as it sounds I like to keep thinking people are basically good and will treat each other with respect, vermin like you tend to disabuse me of this notion.
Yours in disgust
