blimps above DC

No one has commented on this short news blurb, so I will at least bring it to your attention. there was a strange blimpy object flying over some government buildings in Washington before dawn this morning (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A58995-2004Sep29.html). Basically, the govenment is flying blimps over DC to test how they can be used for surveillance.

Cool! The future dystopia vision is nearly complete! Now all we need are retinal scanners on street corners and killer robots intoning "MOVE... ALONG... HUMAN... DO... NOT... DISOBEY..." and it'll be straight out of a sci-fi comic.
