Speaking of debates...

You know what I would like to see? I would like to see debates between the major religions. That's it, get your best arguments out there and defend them against other religions. Tell me why Jesus is better than Mohhamud. Tell me why heaven is better than karma.

We could even have preliminary bouts with the Methodists vs. the Baptists, the Catholics vs. the Protestants and the Shiites vs. the Sunni. A fun, exciting night at the dogmafights.

I say this because I spent a lot of time going to different churches as a youth. One thing I noticed is that in the church, Christians tended to insult other Christian demoninations, but in public, they act like they are all good buddies. Well it's time for a no-rules death match wrasslin extravaganza. None of this "we're all right in our own way" bullflop. Say it like you mean it, and back it up as well as you can. May the best BS win.

Been there seen it done it. The result on the militry frount was a scoring draw and the resulot on the debating frount is still undecided.

If it will make you feel better, PBS recently aired a series called "The Question of God (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/questionofgod/why/index.html)". Naturally, when they say God, they are referring to the god of the Christian religion, and even more specifically the god of C.S. Lewis. Representing the atheists is Sigmund Freud.

I almost think PBS set up their program with a deliberate attempt to pit the two most laughable awful represenatives of Christianity vs. Atheism against each other. See the Atheism.about.com (http://atheism.about.com/b/a/112102.htm) commentary on the PBS series.

I am willing to do that only with a few people in this forum, you are one of them. Of course the various atheists/ignorants/peasants that they cannot tell their elbow from their A8888 shouldn't pop up in the thread.

Pick up a religion.

What about Nudism vs Orthodox Christianity?
