Being a doctor or scientist doesn't immunize you from also being a gullible person... though one could argue that point for an expert in the religious field. It should help, but it's not a failsafe.

Either way, I could get a few hundred signatures saying I'm the greatest Left-handed Lawn Darts champion of all time, but that wouldn't make it true.
