Just a heads up to those in the UK that a new TV series on the history of atheism is about to be shown on BBC4. It's written and presented by Jonathon Miller and will be on 9.30-10.30 p.m. for the next three Mondays.

Amongst those contributing are Richard Dawkins and playwright Arthur Miller.

Radio Times says: Get your brain in gear, for this is not so much a history as an intellectual journey in three installments. At its centre is the idea of faith, which Jonathon Miller circles around like a predator weighing up its lunch ... This is a playful and stimulating exploration, driven by Miller's examination of his own disbelief.

lucky brittish bastards!:p
We'll have to wait almost a year before it shows up on PBS or the Science Channel here in the states.

Here's the URL of the programme's web site:

The interview with the director is interesting. I must say I'm amazed (and appalled) that this is the first time this topic has ever been tackled.

I'm guessing this won't be during a membership drive, though...

hmmm

they are showing a disbelief in God, but this over all may not be what one may think.

Because they continue to show more John Edwards and whoever else and all the fake science shows on the science channel in the states.

And not to mention the "reality" shows that make sit coms look intellegent.

The famous court cases where who looks better is more important than truth.

The reporters in the presidential debates are more concerned with who gives the knock out line, like its entertainment

Maybe a bit of standing for nothing and falling for everything . . .
